Halloween is spooky fun for the kids but, what about the parents? Shouldn’t we be rewarded for our efforts in helping our kids in their quest for the biggest load of candy?
They want spooky. I want spicy! My fellow margarita lovers do I have a treat for you!!
Spicy Watermelon Margaritas.
My family is in town for an extended Halloween fiesta. Four days loaded with spooky activities, art, baking and KIDS!! To help the adults stay motivated I knew we would need a kicked up margarita. I wanted a cooling flavor with a hint of spice. With watermelon season winding down here in the Rio Grande Valley I wanted to squeeze in just one more margarita featuring watermelon. Cool. Check. Now I had to add the spice. I naturally turned to Serrano chiles. Agua de Sandia steeped with a serrano chile give this margarita a spicy kick. Add the tequila and your ready to face a night of hunting for treats! Enjoy! Happy Halloween!!
Crave more spicy heat keep seeds in tact. Be warned this margarita begins cool and ends warm.
